Strathmill 25 Year Old 1988 (2014 Special Release) Single Malt Whisky was bottled as part of Diageo's 2014 "Special Releases" series. This expression was distilled in 1988 and matured in refill American oak casks for 25 years. There were 2,700 bottles filled. This is the first time Strathmill has been featured in Diageo's Special Releases series.
Nose: Creamy, lemon peel, brown sugar, then warm fudge.
Palate: Brown sugar notes prevail with some sharper citrus notes.
Finish: Long and menthol.
