Benromach Heritage 1972 Single Malt Whisky
70cl, 55.7% abv
The Benromach Distillery was closed and mothballed in late 1983. Gordon & MacPhail purchased the distillery in the early 90s and it was in full production again in 1998. This magnificent whisky is from cask number 4471 which was distilled in 1972. Superbly packaged, this Benromach expression from Gordon & MacPhail's "Heritage" series was matured for 46 years in a single refill American Hogshead. There were only 75 bottles filled from the cask in December 2018 and there are only 20 of those bottles allocated to the UK. This is exceptionally rare!
