Dalmore Quintessence Single Malt Whisky
Dalmore Quintessence Single Malt Whisky was initially matured in American Oak ex Bourbon casks. It then spent a further five years in no less than five different Californian red wine casks. These casks were hand selected for this expression by Richard Paterson, the Dalmore Master Distiller. This release marks Richard's fifty years in the industry. Each of the five casks held wine that had been made with a different variety of grape which gave different attributes to the whisky. Those grapes were; Zinfandel, Pinot Noir, Syrah, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon.
Nose: Black Forest fruits, marmalade and honeycomb.
Palate: Tropical fruits, ginger and sun dried raisins.
Finish: Cassis, orange, fresh baked banana.
