Isle Of Jura 1984 Single Malt Whisky pays homage to Islay's most distinguished guest, George Orwell, who penned his masterpiece of the same name whilst living on Jura. And with only 1,984 bottles ever crafted, this whisky which was casked that year is a revolutionary classic in its own right. The whisky is a 1984 vintage, which was firstly matured in ex-Bourbon barrels then further time in Gonzalez Byass Matusalem Sherry casks followed by a finishing period in Amaroso and Apostoles Oloroso casks. Jura Distillery reserved their very finest American white oak casks for this special liquid.Only 1,984 bottles were released.
Colour: Pure autumn gold.
Nose: Honey, vanilla, ginger, peach syrup and banana cake.
Palate: A hint of ripe pineapple, bitter chocolate and Morello cherries.
Finish: Long and rewarding.
