Gin

Gin

Gin is a spirit whose underlying flavour comes from the infusion of juniper berries. Gin has evolved over the years from being used as a herbal medicine into a commercial asset in the spirits industry. Gin was derived from the older spirit Jenver, and gained popularity in Great Britain when William of Orange, the leader of the Dutch Republic, occupied the English and Scottish thrones with his wife Mary. Gin is one of the broadest categories of spirits, and includes some of the most derivatives enjoyed by any spirit; all centred around Juniper.
