Lagavulin 2001 (bottled 2017) Pedro Ximenez Cask Finish - Distiller's Edition is the 2017 vintage of Lagavulin's fantastic Distiller's Editions. This expression was again finished in Pedro Ximenez dessert sweet Sherry casks. It is thick and smoky with sweet tones and a sticky mouth-feel. Another beautiful after dinner dram from Lagavulin.
Nose: Strong notes of sea spray and Sherry.
Palate: Smoky, rich and sweet Sherry notes.
Finish: Long with sea spray lingering.
