Christmas Drams

Christmas drams seem to feature on a lot of people’s Christmas shopping lists. We’ve seen a trend over the past few days for a lot of whiskies to get sent direct to people as presents. Geographically, we are shipping much whisky to the south east of the UK and our couriers are doing a great job – with one exception managing to get those Christmas Drams to the lucky people within our targeted delivery time. Our biggest collective sellers have been from our Monthly Malt section where the Christmas Drams gift sets live. These gift sets include books, whisky tumblers, nosing glasses, miniatures and half bottles. They make a great gift for any time of the year, and can be found here.

We have also delivered quite a few bottles of Shackleton Whisky from the Mackinlay’s Distillery. This whisky included a free copy of the “Shackleton Whisky” book which tells the story of Shackleton’s epic journey to Antartica. This book normally retails at £16.99 – together they make a great present. This second edition of the replica Mackinlay’s was prompted by a request from the Antarctic Heritage Trust, the charity which discovered the whisky, buried in ice for 100 years. The charity wanted to find ways to raise much needed funds for the conservation of the expedition bases on the Antarctic and £5 from every bottle sold will be donated to the Trust.

Our corporate customers have been ordering quite a lot of our more expensive Christmas Drams for us to send direct to their customers; nice Christmas presents! Given the generosity of our corporate customers; they must have some very good customers of their own out there.

So, as another Christmas delivery period comes to the end, we will be restocking our shelves in the coming days to welcome in 2015. We thank all our customers for their custom in 2014 and look forward to doing business with you all (and customers we haven’t met yet) in 2015. Cheers!
