Macallan Whisky
Macallan Whisky Distillery is in Craigellachie, Moray, and was established in 1824. Under the 2009 Whisky Regulations, the "Speyside" designation can only be used by whisky distilleries in certain areas (not Craigellachie) in the Speyside region. However, whisky authorities consider The Macallan Whisky a notable Speyside Single Malt. Currently bottles of The Macallan Whisky indicate that it is a Highland Single Malt and the Company notes that "The Original and Spiritual Home" of The Macallan Whisky is Speyside. Starting in 2004, The Macallan for the first time started to offer single malt expressions vatted with whisky matured in used casks other than ex–sherry casks as part of the Fine Oak range. Macallan also markets special scotches in duty-free shops at airports such as the 1824 Collection. Many rare, special releases and other small production run bottlings also exist.Showing 1 to 6 of 6 (1 Pages)
